Richard is Deputy Principal and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Queen Margaret University. Richard has over 20 years’ experience of working in higher education. He has held the position of Dean of the School of Arts, Social Sciences and Management since 2013 and was Acting Dean the year before that. Having joined QMU in 1993, Richard has worked his way from Lecturer in the Department of Communications and Information Services to Senior Lecturer, moving to Head of Subject (Media, Communications & Sociology) in 2004 and then Head of Division (Media, Communications and Performing Arts) in 2010.
